Danielle Smith is the 19th Premier of Alberta and leader of the United Conservative Party. She represents the constituency of Brooks–Medicine Hat in the Legislative Assembly and has spent more than two decades involved in public policy, media, and political leadership in the province.
Throughout her life and career, Smith has spoken openly about the importance of faith, freedom of conscience, and the role of strong communities in shaping a healthy society. She has been a consistent advocate for protecting the ability of people of faith to live out their beliefs while contributing to public life with integrity and conviction.
Preston Manning is the founding leader of the Reform Party of Canada and one of the most influential figures in modern Canadian conservative politics. Born in Edmonton and raised in a home shaped by Christian faith and public service, he is the son of longtime Alberta premier Ernest Manning.
Faith has played a central role throughout Manning’s life and leadership. Raised in an evangelical Christian family closely connected to his father’s well-known “Back to the Bible Hour” ministry, he has long reflected on the relationship between faith, character, and public service. Manning frequently speaks about how Christian principles such as humility, responsibility, and servant leadership can shape both political life and civic culture.
Paul Brandt is a Multi-Platinum recording artist, philanthropist, and 21-year serial entrepreneur in music – one of the world’s most dynamic and changing business environments. Beginning his musical journey in honky-tonks and talent contests in Calgary, Canada, Paul’s journey eventually led him to Nashville, Tennessee where his music was first exposed to the entire world. Paul has been inducted into The Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.
Influenced by his past work experience as a Registered Nurse at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Paul often looks for ways to combine humanitarian endeavours with his celebrity platform. Paul’s humanitarian aid work has taken him to various places and projects in Ethiopia, Malawi, Egypt, Belize, Mexico, Haiti and Cambodia.

The Alberta Christian Leadership Summit is a structured, face-to-face dialogue between Christian leadership and Alberta’s government.
It was established to foster direct engagement — not from a distance, but in the same room — on the laws and policies shaping our families, churches, and communities.
At its core, the Summit is built around two defining questions:
1) How can Alberta’s government genuinely listen to and understand the concerns of Christian leaders, as it shapes laws and public policy for Alberta’s future, ensuring their perspectives are thoughtfully considered in the process?
2) Likewise, how can Christian leaders help cultivate the civic climate and societal momentum necessary for God-honouring laws and policies to be advanced and sustained — recognizing that their engagement strengthens a government’s ability to pursue the very outcomes they desire?
Together, the aim is to translate dialogue into meaningful cooperation that strengthens Alberta’s social fabric and enables principled policy to advance with public support.
We believe that when church leadership and government communicate clearly and work constructively — families are strengthened, communities grow more resilient, and our cities and towns are better served.
The Summit brings pastors, elders, ministry leaders, educators, and policy influencers into one room to align leadership, deepen understanding, and advance practical cooperation that produces real civic impact.
